Cool Features on the Chevy Silverado Dash
The Chevy Silverado has some very useful buttons located on the dashboard. In our video tutorial, Reggie explains what each button is used for. The first button is the downhill ascent control, not every Chevy Silverado has this button. It helps the driver maintain a consistent speed while going downhill. The next button explained is the Auto Start Stop button. When this button is "on" your vehicle engine will turn off while stopped for a period of time to help you save gas.
The Tailgate Release button automatically opens the tailgate in the back. The emergency flasher button may look familiar, this turns your flashers on and is necessary when your vehicle is in an emergency situation. The traction control button turns on/off the traction control to the wheels of the Silverado which can come in useful in some driving conditions (like when your truck is stuck in the mud).
The power for the outlet button turns on/off the power outlet in the bed of the truck (optional feature). The integrated trailer brake control, when connected it allows the driver to control your trailer braking without aftermarket accessories.
